I see a threaded bolt but no nuts. I m trying to replace the door lock actuator on a 2006 volkswagen passat value edition. The bit that looks like a lock should be in there. If this happens the problem is with the remote.

Once removed this gives you access to remove the cable from the door handle. The battery is likely dead and needs to be replaced but the remote s may also need to be reprogrammed to work.
